�Amy and Willie Live� nominated for �Best Hawaiian Album� Grammy

Seattle, WA-- WorldSound would like to congratulate Amy Hanaiali�i Gilliom and Willie K, for the nomination of their album, �Amy and Willie Live� for the first-ever �Best Hawaiian Album� Grammy. Amy and Willie K recently wrapped up the Aloha Live! 2004 tour, the largest Hawaiian music tour in history, which visited 20 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
�Amy and Willie Live� is an amazing collection of songs recorded at four shows during the electrifying Aloha Live 2003 Tour, which was headlined by Amy Hanaiali�i Gilliom and Willie K. Each song on the album is a prolific representation of both Contemporary and Traditional Hawaiian music, and was performed during the tour in the summer of 2003. Aloha Live 2003 stopped in nine cities along the West Coast.
Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom is Hawaii�s most prominent female performer, and is renowned for her resurrection of Ha�i (female falsetto singing). A multi-Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner, her last four albums have won her Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Group of the Year in Hawaii. Her first album, �Hawaiian Tradition,� placed her on the Billboard World Music Charts, a first for an album written solely in the Hawaiian language. Amy has toured extensively through the USA, Europe, Japan, China and the South Pacific Islands.
Willie Kahaiali�i (a.k.a.Willie K.) was raised on Maui and is widely considered to be the best live performer to have ever come from Hawaii. Willie K has played with such musical giants such as B.B. King, Santana, Al DiMeola, Willie Nelson, Prince, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Elvin Bishop, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Brown, Mick Fleetwood, George Benson, Jimmy Buffet and many more. From the very beginning, Willie was influenced by, and exposed to, a myriad of musical genres; from Hawaiian, Jazz, and early R&B, to the sounds emanating from the radio and TV from musical giants such as B.B. King, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, and Willie Nelson.
The 47th Grammy Awards will be televised on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
